Strengthening women at the Table so they can lead in life.

The vision: a community of women that strengthen
each other on the journey of leadership.

a community of leaders

Launched as Ellen's Picks in 2015, this community began as a place for friends to share books and build community with one another from Coast to Coast. Over the years, this community has grown to a place where women of great capacity can be strengthened so they can stay "in the game."

The Table with Ellen & Friends brings together Christian women in leadership choosing to use their influence for good. At the table they connect with each other, and engage with resources that will uniquely equip and encourage their hearts as leaders.

“the community I wish I had...”

This is the community I wish existed when I began leading in ministry and in business.

What if being a woman in leadership was easy?

That would be nice right? Well, I wouldn't call it easy, but we designed the Table so that being a strong woman who leads wouldn't be such a lonely place. And wouldn't be as difficult as it is right now. And although I'm comfortable in my own shoes and leading all types of people now, it wasn't always like that.

Maybe that is you too…I've always had the skill to lead - but I wish there had been a special community of women who were there to understand my unique challenges as a women leading, often in spheres still dominated by male leadership.

Women who would be there to support, encourage, challenge me when I am stuck. To have the confidence in knowing there was a specific seat for me as a leader. A place to bring my insights, gifts and strengths to further others and to be real about where I can grow and expand my strengths.

Along the way I have been taking notes, I have made mistakes along the way, I have read all the books and all the blogs and attended the conferences. These are the things that have made up my journey of leadership. You have your unique journey up to this point too that has defined new ways of leading and expanding your influence.

Which brings me to this community, and why it exists:

They say you should create what you wished existed when you started out. Or even what you wish existed in the now.

Regardless of what stage you are at on your journey you know this: leading others is not always easy. It is a lesson of endurance for almost all of us. My goal is to create and become the community that I've always needed… and that you have needed too.

That kind of supportive community is exactly what we are creating at the Table as women of faith, women in leadership spurring each other on in very real and encouraging ways. We will equip each other with the tools, confidence, endurance and know-how to keep leading well.
